Tambu Lounge

Tambu LoungeNext to 'Ohana is the Tambu Lounge. This is a great place to go before your reservations at 'Ohana or if you just want a nice place to relax and get a drink and an appetizer (served from 5:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight). Located outside 'Ohana on the Second floor of the Great Ceremonial House.

Tambu Lounge not only has the wildest tropical drinks in WDW but they have a big screen TV to sit and watch your favorite sporting event. The Tambu Lounge is one of the most popular bars at Walt Disney World and they have some of the best bartenders around. With the new menu introduced came a whole list of new drinks but the all time favorites are still around. The most famous drink is the Lapu Lapu, served in a carved out pineapple. The Backscratcher, Island Sunset and Tropical Macaw is also a favorite for many years.

Any of the drinks can still be asked for and there are always some special off menu drinks that you can ask for if you know the names. One of my new favorites is the Scorpion. If you want a traditional Mai Tai then you will have to order Auntie's Mai Tai. Its less fruity and more like the original Mai Tai invented in 1944 by Victor Jules Bergeron (Founder of Trader Vic's) in Oakland California. Click on the link below to see menu. The lounge is open 1:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight.
