Planning

Planning a trip to any Walt Disney World Resort can be difficult especially if you have never been there. Each resort has different rooms, views and service levels. The Polynesian can be very unique when it comes to rooms

Lets start with some questions you ask yourself to get started planning.

Concierge or Standard?

IMG_1015Lets start with what level of room you want to stay in. When I say level I don’t mean what floor but what level of service. Do you want a Club Level room (concierge) or do you want to stay in a standard level room? If you want to stay in a Club Level room than you will need to decide if you want to stay in a standard Club Level room or a suite. Hopefully these pages will help you decide.

Club Level Concierge

Club LevelClub Level Concierge (aka The King Kamehameha Club)  will start off with the Personal Vacation Itinerary. This is a great way to start off your planning for your trip and  will help with letting them know about special occasions or any room requests you may have as well as making reservations for dinners and shows.

Getting Around

Getting AroundOne of the biggest things debated is how big the Polynesian resort is and how long it takes to walk to something. Also many people (most who have never stayed at the Polynesian) say that you should only stay there if you want easy access to the Magic Kingdom. Well I always disagreed with the statments that the Polynesian is big or it is too long of a walk from a longhouse or that it was only quick access to the Magic Kingdom and below you will see the facts and you can decide.

Rooms and Rates

RoomsPolynesian rooms are some of the largest standard rooms on Disney property. Even the smaller of the two floor plans is much larger than other Deluxe Resort rooms. You can easily fit 5 in these rooms and you can do 6 if one is in a crib and under the age of 3. Check out the rooms to help you decide what to book and request.

Which Longhouse?

Which LonghouseSo now that you have decided on what level of service you want than you should decide what type of view and location you want.

The most asked question for new visitors to the Polynesian is "what longhouse should we stay in?" and "what view should we pick?" Hopefully these next few pages will help answer these questions.

Book Your Trip

Book Your TripThere are many places to save on your trip and even Disney has discounts at different times of the year. Approved Disney Travel Planners are the best way to find out the best way to save for the time you want to go. I use to book myself but why do all the work if someone else can do it for free. The solution is to find someone you know will work hard at finding the best deal for you. I have met many people at different travel agencies that will do a great job for you so check with others to see who they like to use and have had good luck with.

Special Occasions

Special OccasionsThe Polynesian is one of the best places to celebrate a special event. Make sure to let them know ahead of time if you are going to be at the Polynesian during a special event. I am sure they will do their best to make it even more special.

You never know what surprise you might get.
